Principles of operation of the sensor:

1. The wire-needle cut protection is realized on closing/opening of the electric circuit, as soon as the contact of this circuit is lost without contact between the inner plate and the contact pad an alarm occurs.

The alarm does not occur when a typical SuperTag anti-theft detector opening hook presses inward on the plate that releases the needle and at the same time makes contact with the metal pad on the electronic board that controls the state of this contact.

And also there is another version of this sensor without a wire-needle, the mechanism of closing the circuit in this case is realized by a protruding button located in the place of the round pad for the needle with a round cap, and is a protection against opening the sensor NOT with a hook – by pulling out the needle.

2. protection against removal from the magazine by foil or jammer is realized as follows:

  • a ferrite AM inductance coil is typical, it is connected with both ends to an electronic board which reads whether the energy received from the external environment is present in this coil or not, but not every 58kHz signal will provoke a reaction-alarm of this sensor, but only periodic signals coinciding with the typical periods of AM gates.
  • it is necessary to clarify once again, the foil does not shield the incoming signal (it is too powerful), but only the sensor’s RESPONSE to this signal, which means that the sensor will still hear the gate. Also the jammer does not turn off the gate, but only deceives it when it tries to choose the right response to the sensor’s response.

 

How and what to do about it?

with a regular hook this sensor immediately ceases to be a problem, for simple reasons:

  1. if you want to remove it silently…. insert the hook, take out the needle, release the thing, put the needle back in, take out the hook. in that case nothing will happen.
  2. if you want to take the sensor with you….. insert the hook, clench the sensor tightly in your fist where the speaker is, pull out the needle, pull out the hook. when you pull out the hook without the needle inserted, there will be a soft very short PIK sound. after that the gate signal response system will be turned off and the sensor will turn into a normal AM SuperTag.
  3. If you don’t want to remove or open the sensor, but want to take it with the item from the store…. you don’t even need foil or a jammer, we showed everyone a long time ago that this sensor has a ferrite coil very close to the far edge of the hook hole.

You can take almost any high-powered magnetic puller, magnetize the sensor to your puller at this location and quietly exit through the AM gate.

How does it work? at the moment of magnetization of the FERRITE HEART by a permanent magnet (puller), the inductive coil (sensor) ceases to be effective and loses the possibility of residual magnetic oscillations… to put it simply, it has no possibility to respond to the gate in the RIGHT way.

4. and the dumbest method, just take wire cutters and bite not the wire, but the entire sensor, destroying the electronic board, battery and the AM coil itself, but this is dirty, not beautiful, not professional and a direct way to be accused of damaging the property of the store even if you did not steal anything or did not have time to steal.
